Research, in every case, was extremely important so we looked into websites, sent for brochures and even listened to our well-travelled friends before choosing, booking and going. However, some of these trips are completely unique to us, based on a theme, and while I admit to venturing into websites for specialist information, we actually build up the holiday itinery entirely by ourselves. We find this kind of holiday much more stimulating since if it goes pearshaped we have only ourselves to blame ! (We have had no problems yet)

So you must therefore decide whether to read our site from front to back or just use some of the many the suggestions to prepare your own holiday, visiting destinations you may not have considered before landing on this site.

I dedicate this site to my long-suffering wife Carole who at first dreaded a holiday apparently set up by me to tire us both out. She originally believed a holiday should be a total rest. However, after actually being on an active holiday, the friends we make and the places we get to see, make us both very happy, and instead of sitting by a pool worrying about work, we forget it all for two weeks and come home totally refreshed..
