SATURDAY 3rd September 2005
We arrived by car at the pre-booked Airparks storage facility at 4.30 AM and were taken by coach to Luton Airport. Checking in was at 6.00AM and only 15 minutes late we took off as dawn broke to fly south to Bergamo Airport in Italy. It was a good flight but somewhat cloudy below yet we could see the Alps as we crossed the Austrian/Italian border.
We met the holiday rep who directed us to a waiting coach which took us from Bergamo to Salo and then to Limone sul Garda, arriving at the hotel at 11.30 AM local time.

We booked in and were happy to be in a luxury room on level 2. We were ready to eat so opted for a large snack at the pool bar. We then looked round our hotel.

Time flew by and it was not long before we went down to our evening meal. It was buffet style but the selection was excellent and I started as I meant to go on. We took a little quantity of wine left over from our meal onto the large area at the front of the hotel and listened to the music played by the artist of that evening. Totally tired out, we went to bed and fell asleep. However, we did wake up a number of times to try different settings on the air-conditioning system which I took three days to get it right.. | |
