THE ISLAND OF
DREAMS
My parents took me to the Isle of Man in 1947
and I have been going ever since.

It has become a way of life.

As a consequence of more than 50 years of annual visits, I have accumulated a loftful of memories which have been stored carefully in filing boxes. It was in 1986 when I was coming up to my FORTIETH annual visit that Brian Crichton, the journalist, telephoned to request an interview for an article to appear in that years TT programme, and asked to be able to see some of my souvenirs. So before he arrived I "raided" the loft and dug out some really useful reminders. I was also asked about personal memories which were fuelled by the bags of info in the loft.

With the purchase of a laptop I was further pressurised into sorting out programmes and press packs and suddenly the 'phone began ringing as people realised that here they had a source of first-hand knowledge. Questions like "Who was number ** in the 19** race ?"

---Well, if it was not immediately retrievable from my head, all I did was ask for half an hour while I climbed into the loft and pick out the pack labelled with that particular year and then I could phone them back with the accurate information.

Then I decided to learn to write a website or three....THE HARD WAY !!
I taught myself HTML in the raw and sat down to put my TT Memories on the Internet. So now click on the panel at the bottom and see why the TT and the Isle of Man have attracted me year after year..... ENJOY.
