Our son, Simon, collected coupons from one of the daily newspapers and hoarded enough to announce that he was taking us to Venice for a long weekend..So we drove up to Stansted and parked the car in the Airport Car Park. We staggered with our cases to the Departure Lounge, signed in, and then took off on the early morning flight to Venice. The airline we used did not supply in-flight meals but thankfully the flight was quite short over the Alps....
However the ears did hurt a bit as we spiralled down into the Venice basin and landed at Treviso Airport, north of Venice...
AT TREVISO
We were picked up by a coach which took us into the center of the City and it was only a short distance to the Hotel we had picked.
THE HOTEL
By now we were hungry so as our eardrums cleared, we installed our cases in the Hotel and went to explore and to find a suitable eating place.
